The Past
FlightShows began in 2020, born from an unexpected moment of inspiration during a light-hearted Zoom quiz after COVID-19 had wiped out the live entertainment industry. Two friends discovered their shared fascination with drone light shows and set out to create something extraordinary – this time outside of a theatre.
With roots in touring theatre and live events, we combined our technical expertise and creative vision to craft unforgettable experiences. From the outset, we focused on blending artistry with cutting-edge technology, ensuring every show delivers emotional impact and tells a story with a beginning, middle and end.
The Present
Today, FlightShows is a global leader in drone light displays, captivating audiences with innovative performances tailored to each event. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate launch, or cultural celebration, we take pride in delivering shows that leave lasting impressions.
With over 500 drones in the UK and access to thousands more worldwide, we’ve expanded our capabilities to accommodate events of all sizes. Our team brings precision, creativity, and a passion for storytelling to every project, pushing boundaries to create spectacular moments.
The future
At FlightShows, our vision is bold and limitless. We aim to redefine event entertainment by exploring new technologies and creative possibilities. Whether it’s enhancing interactive displays or synchronising with emerging trends in event production, we are committed to leading the way.
Above all, we want to make your event extraordinary—turning ideas into mesmerising realities and lighting up skies across the globe.
led by experience

Eoin O'Grady
Director
With a background in large-scale theatre and live events, including work on major UK productions and international touring shows, Eoin O’Grady brings a deep understanding of how to create moments that truly engage an audience.
He founded FlightShows to apply that same thinking to drone displays — combining choreography, pacing and storytelling with cutting-edge aerial technology to deliver performances, not just formations in the sky.
Holding both A2 CofC and GVC certifications, alongside a current CAA Operational Authorisation, Eoin operates at the highest standards of safety and professionalism. His aviation expertise helped FlightShows secure one of the UK’s first operational approvals for large-scale swarm drone shows. When not flying drones, he can often be found flying a Cessna 182 — because aviation, in all its forms, has always been at the core of what he does.
Today, he leads the creative and technical direction of every FlightShows project, ensuring each show is visually striking, seamlessly executed, and designed to leave a lasting impression.
Drawing on experience from live events and aviation, each project brings together trusted professionals across flight operations, safety management and technical delivery — all working in sync to execute the show with precision.
From initial planning and airspace coordination through to live execution, the team operates with the structure and discipline of a major production — ensuring every performance runs smoothly, safely, and exactly as designed.
The result is a show that feels effortless to the audience, but is powered by a highly coordinated team on the ground.
