At this year’s Event Buyers Live (EBL), we took to the skies – quietly – to show what drone shows can really offer to the events world.

EBL24 Drone Light Show

As a showcase for what’s possible, we designed a short drone display using just 100 drones. While many assume drone shows require hundreds or even thousands of units, this performance proved otherwise. With clever design and choreography, even a smaller fleet can create a compelling, dynamic and high-impact show.

Our display was also completely silent, opting for a unique silent disco format. Guests tuned in via headphones, allowing for a dramatic, immersive audio experience without disturbing the surroundings. This demonstrated another key strength of drone shows: versatility. Whether you’re working with sensitive venues, late-night timings, or sound restrictions, drone displays can adapt.

The event was held at the stunning Carden Park Hotel – a beautiful backdrop for a future-facing event.

Event Buyers Live is always a highlight in the calendar — not just for its format, but for the calibre of conversation. It brings together some of the sharpest minds in the events world, and we were delighted to be part of that, offering a glimpse of how drone technology is evolving the live experience.

From intimate brand moments to large-scale public spectacles, drone shows are a powerful storytelling tool. And EBL was the perfect place to prove that big impact doesn’t always need big numbers.
