OSC for swarming drone shows

This article was originally published in March 2021 and refers to the CAA’s former OSC framework. FlightShows was one of the UK’s early operators authorised for large-scale drone swarming under that system. As UK regulation evolved, FlightShows continued that work and, on 19 January 2026, became the first UK operator to receive a SORA-based Operational Authorisation specifically for drone swarming.
