Drone light shows in Austria

FlightShows creates bespoke drone light shows across Austria for public events, festivals, brands, sport and private celebrations. We combine storytelling, music, animation and live-production experience to turn the sky into part of the event.

Built around the event, not a catalogue of shapes

Every bespoke FlightShows production starts with the event itself.

For a public celebration, the show might need to tell a story to a large audience across a wide viewing area. A brand production may build towards a reveal or campaign moment. A sporting event may need to work around an existing programme, while a private celebration can be designed around something much more personal.

We then develop the storyboard, soundtrack, animation and choreography together.

That distinction matters. Music is not simply placed behind a finished sequence of drone formations. Movement, colour, timing, transitions and changes of scale are designed alongside the soundtrack so the finished result feels like one production.

Our background in theatre, international touring and large-scale live entertainment influences the way we approach that process. We think about pacing, audience attention, reveals and how the drone show fits into the wider event, not simply what individual images can be drawn in the sky.

Drone shows for events across Austria

FlightShows can create productions for major public events, festivals, sporting occasions, brands, corporate events, destination events, weddings and private celebrations across Austria.

The same drone show would not necessarily work for each of them.

A city event with a large public audience has very different creative and operational needs from a private event at a resort or a brand launch at a controlled venue. The size of the audience, the viewing direction, the surrounding site and the role of the show within the wider event all influence the way we approach the production.

That is why we start by understanding what the organiser actually wants the drone show to achieve rather than simply asking how many drones they want to hire.

From 150 drones to shows using thousands

The number of drones should follow the creative idea, not the other way around.

A well-designed show using a few hundred drones can create strong, detailed imagery and tell a complete story. Larger fleets allow us to add greater detail, depth and scale when the production genuinely benefits from it.

FlightShows has access to thousands of show drones across Europe, so larger European productions are entirely possible where the event, location and creative brief call for them.

The important question is not simply “How many drones can we have?” It is what we want the audience to see, understand and feel, and how much detail is needed to achieve that properly.

European drone show experience

FlightShows works across the UK and Europe and has experience delivering international drone-show projects where the creative, logistical and aviation elements all need to work together.

Every Austrian project is planned specifically for its own event, location and operating environment. The wider European experience gives us the practical understanding of how to move from an initial idea to a professionally delivered international production.

Make Austria the setting for a show built around your event

From a major public celebration to a brand, sporting event or private occasion, tell us what you want the audience to remember. We will shape the story, scale and soundtrack around that moment.

Planning the show around the location

The proposed site has a major influence on the finished production.

An Austrian city event, stadium production, festival site or destination venue can all create very different possibilities for the show.

You do not need to work out the aviation side before contacting us. Send us the proposed location during the initial enquiry and we will assess the site, audience layout and surrounding airspace from the beginning.

Austria’s aviation requirements are administered through Austro Control. FlightShows handles the aviation planning for the show, including the site and airspace assessment, operational documentation, permissions, notifications and any relevant coordination required for the proposed location.

We will then work with you and the venue on the best way to make the show happen.

What does a drone show in Austria cost?

Bespoke outdoor drone shows in Austria start from €30,000, plus travel.

If you want to increase the fleet, add repeat performances or build in other production elements, we can price those as part of the proposal.

How long does an Austrian drone show take to plan?

For most Austrian events, getting us involved around two to three months out works well.

Major public events, complex locations and larger productions benefit from earlier involvement, but if your event is sooner it is still worth asking us.

If the site or event layout is still flexible, involving us early means we can assess the location and build the drone show into the wider production from the beginning.
