Drone light shows in Norway

Imagine the stage, speeches or sporting action ending and the whole audience looking up.

FlightShows creates bespoke drone shows across Norway that turn the night sky into the next part of the event, from huge public finales and brand reveals to completely personal stories.

Make the sky the main stage

Drone shows are particularly good at creating one shared point of attention.

A crowd spread across a public event does not need to be standing close to a conventional stage to experience the main moment. The show happens above the event, using scale, colour, animation and music to create something the whole audience can watch together.

The first drones can appear on a countdown or production cue. A soundtrack can take over from stage content. The show can move through a story and then resolve into one final image before the aircraft leave the sky.

Our background in theatre, international touring and large-scale live production influences the way we build those transitions. We want the drone show to feel like the event has been heading towards it, not like a separate technical demonstration that has been added afterwards.

From bold public imagery to completely personal stories

A Norwegian city event, sporting occasion and private celebration should not receive variations of the same show.

For a public audience, the visual ideas can be bold and immediate. For a brand, products, symbols and campaign imagery can become part of a sequence before the final identity reveal. For a private audience, the show can use references that only need to mean something to the people watching.

Our 300-drone SM60 production in Mallorca told one person’s life story through his interests, family, travels and memories. That is the level of personalisation a bespoke drone show can achieve when the brief calls for it.

Scale from hundreds to thousands of drones

FlightShows has access to thousands of show drones across Europe.

A few hundred drones can create a strong bespoke production with recognisable imagery, animation and text. Larger fleets allow more scale and resolution where a major event or more ambitious creative treatment benefits from it.

We start with the story and event, then recommend the fleet needed to deliver it properly.

Darkness can be a creative advantage

Norway’s seasonal light changes significantly through the year, and that can influence the best show time.

In winter, the earlier darkness can make a drone show a natural part of the evening programme. Summer shows can work beautifully too; they simply tend to sit later in the running order, particularly farther north.

We establish the best show window during the initial consultation so the event can be built around it from the start.

Weather capability for Norwegian conditions

FlightShows deliberately chose outdoor aircraft capable of operating in challenging weather.

Our outdoor drones can fly in winds of up to 45 km/h and in the rain.

That gives us a useful operating window for Norwegian outdoor events, so rain in the forecast does not automatically put the show in doubt.

You can read more in our guide to drone shows and weather.

Oslo, remote locations and everything in between

A central city event and a remote Norwegian venue present different opportunities, but neither is something the client needs to solve before getting in touch.

Send us the proposed location during the initial enquiry. We will assess the site, airspace, access and event layout from the beginning and work with you on the best way to make the show happen there.

Norway participates in the European UAS framework, with the Civil Aviation Authority of Norway responsible for the national requirements.

FlightShows handles all of it, from the initial site and airspace assessment through to the operational documentation, permissions, notifications and relevant coordination required for the production.

Make the Norwegian sky the next stage of the event

When the live programme reaches its finale, the story does not have to stop at the edge of the stage. Give us the place, audience and idea and we can carry the moment into the sky.

What does a drone show in Norway cost?

Bespoke outdoor drone shows in Norway start from €30,000, plus travel.

How long does a Norwegian drone show take to plan?

For most Norwegian projects, two to three months gives us a good working window.

Remote locations and large public events benefit from extra time for logistics and aviation coordination, but shorter lead times can still be possible.
