Find Out Exactly Why The Fireworks Have Been Cancelled
Ask your venue or fireworks supplier to confirm the reason for the cancellation.
There is an important difference between:
- Fireworks being prohibited because of dry ground and the risk of ignition
- All outdoor entertainment being suspended
- A venue deciding that the proposed display area is unsuitable
- A wider restriction imposed by a landowner, local authority or emergency service
A drone show does not use burning pyrotechnics or scatter hot material across the ground, so it may remain possible when the specific concern relates to firework ignition.
The venue, flying area, audience position, airspace and weather conditions will still need to be properly assessed.
