This post dates back to 2021, when FlightShows was still in its early days, but we were already pushing what drone shows could be in the UK. We are incredibly proud of the shows we were creating then, and rightly so. We were trailblazing, experimenting, learning fast and producing work that was genuinely extraordinary at the time.
Since then, everything has grown. The fleet is bigger, the technology has moved on enormously, and the shows have become more ambitious, more detailed and more spectacular.
We might be a little greyer, but we’re still every bit as excited about putting stories in the stars.
We’ve left this article here as a little piece of FlightShows history, and as a reminder that the work we are proud of today was built on some pretty remarkable beginnings.
For centuries, the stars have inspired mankind to tell great stories. The sky has always been a big open canvas. We have this exciting new drone technology to draw on that canvas – turning your story into a piece of theatre, a performance, that conveys emotion on a grand scale, in the sky, with your audience looking up in awe.
We are one of the only companies with permission to do this in the UK. We can create an event almost anywhere and, unlike others, even in poorer weather conditions. For a long time, fireworks have entertained crowds but it’s now time to move towards sustainable options that are friendlier to the environment, people and animals. The colours, shapes and patterns we can now create with drones take displays in the air to a whole new level.
There are so many advantages to a FlightShow – and the story you tell is only limited by your imagination.
