Indoor Drone Show Press Release

FlightShows will debut a cutting-edge indoor drone display at The Event Production Show 2026, taking place on 25–26 February at Excel London, in collaboration with HTS Creative.

As demand grows for more immersive and controllable live experiences, indoor drone displays are quickly becoming one of the most exciting developments in the events industry. This showcase is designed to demonstrate how drone technology can be safely and creatively integrated into indoor environments, opening up new possibilities for conferences, exhibitions, brand activations and live productions.

Unlike traditional outdoor drone shows, indoor drone shows offer a fully controlled environment. This allows for tighter choreography, closer audience interaction, and seamless integration with lighting, staging and video elements. The result is a more precise and immersive experience, where every movement is intentional and every transition is part of a larger creative story.

For this installation, HTS Creative has developed a purpose-built staging and lighting environment that enables the drones to perform safely indoors while maintaining full creative flexibility. The production brings together aerial choreography and live show design as a single system, rather than treating drones as a standalone feature.

A key element of the display is a fully time-coded lighting system, programmed on an Avolites D9 by HTS Creative’s in-house Lighting Designer, Andrew Budge. The lighting is synchronised precisely with the drone movements, enhancing timing, transitions and visual impact to create a cohesive indoor drone performance.

The lighting rig features Ayrton Rivale fixtures alongside selected units from Robe and Astera, providing a dynamic and responsive lighting setup that complements the precision and fluidity of the drones in flight.

This collaboration highlights the growing role of indoor drone displays in modern event production. From product launches and exhibitions to stage performances and corporate events, indoor drone technology offers a unique way to create memorable visual moments without the limitations of outdoor environments.

Visitors to The Event Production Show 2026 are invited to experience this indoor drone show in person and see how drones, lighting and staging can work together to deliver a new kind of live experience.
