Drone Shows Across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
FlightShows creates drone light shows across the UK, from weddings and private celebrations to festivals, sporting events, brand activations and major public shows.
We’re based in the UK, our main outdoor fleet is based here, and we’ve been delivering drone shows around the country since the early days of the industry. We know how to make them look spectacular, how to make the most of different venues and, importantly, how to turn a good idea into a genuinely great show.
That might mean one of our ready-made shows for a wedding or celebration, or a completely bespoke production built around a brand, event or story. We work on everything from smaller private performances to large public shows for thousands of people.
Wherever your event is taking place in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, tell us what you’re planning and we’ll show you what we can do.
Why Choose FlightShows for a UK Drone Show?
FlightShows is based in the UK, with one creative, technical and operational team responsible for the show from concept to performance.
UK SORA-Based Authorisation
FlightShows holds a current UK SORA-based Operational Authorisation for drone-show operations in the Specific Category, supporting the safe and professional delivery of our shows.
Creative Shows That Stand Out
Our creative team turns brands, stories and special moments into clear, memorable animation designed specifically for the sky. Every drone light show is choreographed around the audience, venue and occasion.
Built for British Weather
We have invested heavily in an outdoor fleet built for the British climate. Our drones can operate in rain and winds of up to 45 km/h, giving us a significantly wider operating envelope than many drone show fleets. That means we can often keep flying in conditions that would ground more weather-sensitive aircraft, giving your event a much better chance of going ahead when the forecast turns.
Stock and Bespoke. Indoors and Out
Choose a ready-made stock show, commission a fully bespoke production created around your story or brand, or bring the experience indoors with our purpose-built indoor fleet. The same FlightShows team handles the creative and delivery from start to finish.
Proven UK Experience
FlightShows has been operating drone swarms in the UK since the early years of the industry. Our work includes public events, festivals, heritage sites, weddings, brand activations, indoor productions and private celebrations across the country.
What Goes Into Delivering A Drone Show in the UK?
An outdoor drone light show is both a live production and a regulated aviation operation. Fortunately, this is what we do every day.
FlightShows has been operating drone swarms in the UK since the early days of the industry. We have delivered shows at private venues, festivals, heritage sites, public events, weddings and complex locations across the country, so assessing a new site and working out how to deliver a show there is very much our bread and butter.
Every event is planned individually, because every venue and piece of airspace is different. We assess the venue, flying area, audience layout and surrounding environment, check the local airspace and work out whether any additional permissions, notifications or coordination are required.
Our team handles all of that alongside the creative and technical production. You don’t need to understand drone regulation or work out which aviation permissions your event needs. Tell us where you want the show and we’ll work out how to make it happen.

FAQ
- Where in the UK do you provide drone light shows?FlightShows delivers drone light shows across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, from weddings and private celebrations to festivals, brand events and major public shows. Every venue is different, so we assess the available space, audience layout, surrounding area and local airspace before confirming what will work. If you already have a venue in mind, tell us where and when your event is taking place and we can take a look.
- How much does a drone light show cost in the UK?The cost of a drone show in the UK depends mainly on the type of show, the number of drones and how much bespoke creative work is required. FlightShows publishes real guide prices for both our ready-made shows and bespoke productions, so you can get a sensible idea of budget before making an enquiry. See our full guide to drone show prices and what affects the cost.
- Can drone light shows operate in British weather?Yes. We deliberately chose an outdoor fleet capable of operating in challenging UK conditions, including rain and winds of up to 45 km/h. There are obviously limits, but a breezy evening or a bit of rain does not automatically mean the show cannot go ahead. We explain the aircraft limits, rain, wind, temperature and what happens when the forecast looks poor in our full guide to drone shows and weather.
- How far in advance should I book a drone show in the UK?Longer is always better, particularly for a large event or a completely bespoke production, because it gives us more time for the creative work, venue planning and any aviation coordination required. That said, we can sometimes deliver shows surprisingly quickly when the circumstances allow. If your date is approaching, get in touch rather than assuming it is too late. For a fuller look at everything that happens between the first enquiry and show night, see our Drone Show Guide.
- Do I need to arrange CAA permission for a drone show? No. FlightShows handles the aviation side of the project. We operate under a current UK Civil Aviation Authority SORA-based Operational Authorisation for drone swarming, but every event is still assessed individually and some locations can require additional permissions, notifications or coordination. We take care of that work for you. You can read more about our UK SORA authorisation and drone-swarm operations.
